I am better now, the bad craft day is gone! Working with beads is something that I like to do. I do have some personal favorites like the little coloured cube, They are the ones seens on the above photo.
Beads, in general, are very versatile. They can be used in many projects. It can be used with various techniques. I like doing peyote stitches (as above) and also with wires wrapping. It been a while that I haven't done those. I start to miss doing those particuliar two. I am ready to do some.
With beads, it is easier to do than to speak. It is whay happen to me. Maybe beads inspire me more in picture than in words. Now, it gives me the urge to go bead shopping.

A bad craft day, wholy wasted
I feel bumped. I feel I have wasted my time. Most of all, I just had a bad craft day. Nothing worked as I wanted to. I feel angry it didn't worked well. I feel my mind is in a wasteland of unproductive thoughts. Really, it had tainted my mind in a negative way. I am sure it also feed the poeple who had come into contact with me. I wasn't a pleasant person today, ruff and gruff.
Today is a waisted day. Nothing to be done to get on the right track, not for now. I am a bit too much into my negative thoughts and my frustration. It block everything and I end up feeling uninspired. I only want to throw all crafting tools on the other side of the room, all out of frustration. Not very pleasant feelings. I don't feel I am able to thrive creatively so nothing can be done and I stop for today.
I think it is the first time that I feel that way so strongly. Maybe it is the first time that I recognize this kind of deep frustration. I don't remember feeling so deeply angry while trying doing some projects. Usually, doing my projects makes me feel better. Something is not right today. Time to go and try to see what is getting wrong. Environment seems to have a little impact today. Usually, it is not the case. I seems to be affected mentally in some way. I will take a break and try again tomorrow.

Now I get it! Success at night!
I get it now; it is about taking photos at night. I got it with my point and shot camera. By trying the buttoms, I was able to do some testing of some feature. The best result was with low light and no flash.
I think that I will call this above photo «Ghost Tree» I am happy to finally figure out how to take photos at night. I will have to remember how to do it again. Of course, I could have looked in the manual. Would I be happy to find the answer in a booklet? Maybe. Am I happy to have the gut to mess around with the various feature? It was a matter of instinct and maybe some luck to find the right feature. The experimentation was worth the try.
Another sucess in experimentation! It had been a while since I got pretty much what I had in my mind. I only wish to got the tree a little bit closer. I will have to figure out how to zoom in. I think it is better to take baby step on this one.

It's good to have inspiration
I finally look at one of a video that I put on my watch it later list. It is How to Wrap a Stone, with macrame:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reiSgMN5Hxw&list=WL&index=415
It got me inspired. It was the little extra look that I needed to get me on the right track. I know macrame and I know about wire wapping. Now, I clicked and it got me thinking. I have a lot of ordinary stones. For the biggest ones, I could use macrame. For the smaller ones, I could use wire wrapping. Of course, I will have to practice first. I feel rusty in both thechniques.
I also found a video that I am curious because the end result seems nice. It is the netting technique:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dlnG7mq-7o&index=416&list=WL
I would be interested to try it. Will it look good? Probably not on my first try.
There are many other videos that are along those lines. Maybe I could try those techniques and also my own way and see what work best. Seeing others doing a project is always eye opening. It gives the option to put it on other uses or tweak up something entirely different.

Thining of it, it look like a pillow
I just finished a homemade bag. Looking quickly at it, it look more like a pillow. The strap give it away. Here are two photos of the bag:
So, the bag is simple:the fabric had been folded in three part. Two parts had been sown together. The last part, where the flowers and leaves are, is the flap. The strap is braided.
Now, I ask myself a question: beside the flowers and leaves, do I do the background? If I do, I will put simple white background. I could also do the back and under the flap with some flowery design too, to keep the theme. On the other hand, I don't want to overdo this bag.
Having choices is good. Not able to answer to the choice is not very good. It is not first world problem, it is a crafting problem. How much is too much? I will keep it that way the time I make my mind.

Nice but is it déjà vu?
I found this, a no bake brownie recpie:
https://www.thespruce.com/15-minute-no-bake-brownies-recipe-2097700
Not totally true, the chocolate have to be melted. Of course, getting in the oven part is not in the instruction. But there is a part that have to be heated. I do like brownie but waiting a few hour is a bit too much waiting for me. I don't know it is me but baking brownies is faster than putting it in the fridge? It is an impression that I get.
I also have the impression of déjà vu with this recipe. It seems to be a theme of some site. There are some theme that seems to be pick up by various sites. It seems they have favorite theme that come back one way or the other. Or course that I am a fan of browne. Internet is not my main source of brownie recipies. I have a cookbook dedicated to brownie recipies. It is enough with me.
Well, I guess I should stick with my brownie cookbook. Internet is not for me when it comes to brownie. It is one of my soft spot. I think I better stick with the traditional route for this. One thing that I miss is the Sarah Lee brownie (http://foodservice.saralee.com.au/products/chocolate_brownie_uniced.html) I no longer see it in stores.

Olympus, I have a problem!
Since a couple of years, I face a problem and I am tempted to put a remedy to it. My problem seems weird but it is there. I am bilingual: French and English. It is not perfect but I can maintain a conversation in bogth language.
One are a where the problem can arise is on mythology. I encounter a problem and it is a bit embarrassing. The names are not quite the same in both language. Context can help especially in source material. There was manhy times wher I had to go to Encyclopedia Mythica (http://www.pantheon.org/) for a quick check. I wanted to be sure in having the right mythological character right.
My remeby for that problem? Making a bilingual mythological dictionary. I have to check out if it had been done first on a more serious level. I had done quick searches in the past without result. Nest step: do the dictionary. I guess I am not the only one in this kind of situation. There will be a lot of work for it. I wonder if I can have help along the way.
I think it is one of my best idea. At the same time, I am a bit affraid that the demand will be there for other languages. It can go well beyond my own capacities. It is a bit like opening Pandora Box.

Why Science Use Myths So Much?
the question have pop up many times in my mind: Why science like myths so much? Myth related uses is common usage in science. There are many link between mythology and astronomy. Planets (Mars, Venus, Neptune), most of the moons of the solar system (Phoebos, Deimos, Io), constellation (Orion, Andromeda, Centaurus). Nasa have many of it's programs named after big deities (Apollo, Mercyry). Psychology like to use myth to illustrate some concept of theirs (the most famous one Oedipus).
It makes me wonder if science have a total lack of imagination. Another theory would be that scientists like too much myths and that the Ancients ones were very observant of their surrounding. Why change a successful observation? I don't have any scientist under hand to test my theories. It is a bit sad because I would like to have an answer to this question.
It seems that scientists have a long time interest in mythology. Is is Renaissance that triggered it? I don't know enough history to know the answer. I know that mytology have gained the interest of some people for a while now. I don't know if it is still the case for young people. The phenomenon is easy to answer, for me. I have, myself, fallen under that spell. It is a return to something fascinating, unknown for many generations in the common people. It also trigger something more innocent and a more primitive time. The genealogy of the deities (especially the Greco-Roman one) ressemble of what can be seen today. More and more people can understand that genealogy because it can partly reflect with the modern family setting. Not totally but for the most part. Today, there is all kind of family setting.
I can't really answer my question but I think I can say that science is in love with mythology.

The Muses - A Power Team
While reading Apollo by George O'Connor (https://www.amazon.ca/Apollo-Brilliant-One-George-OConnor/dp/1626720150/ref=sr_1_27?ie=UTF8&qid=1489368192&sr=8-27&keywords=george+oconnor). I remembered how the Muses are a powerful team. They are the supreme beings when we talk about creativity. They are the source of inspiration. Each ones have a specialty.
Calliope Epic Poetry, Stylus and Tablet
Clio History, Scroll
Erato Love, Poetry and Mimicry, Lyre
Euterpe Lyric Poetry and Music Double Flute
Melpomene Tragedy, Sword, Sad Mask
Polyhymnia Religious Hymns, Pensuve Stance, Veil
Terpischore Coral Song, Dance, Plectrum and Lyre
Thalia Comedy, Shepherd's Staff, Smiling Mask
Urania Astronomu, Globe
I think that the list vary slighly depending on the source.
I find amazing tjat a group of people thoughts on fictional characters who are linked with inspiration. It's creating characters who are the masters of the creative life. It is like a circle: real life people shape 9 divine being who takes charge of inspiration that have an impact on their creators and other peoples in return. It makes me wonder how people cames up with myths, legends and stories. How the idea came about for the muses? Did someone says «Eureka» and boom, the muses came into existence? was it a bit by bit revelation as storytellers where adding their magic to the mix?
The personification of inspiration is attractive. It is an abstractive concept. We can't touch it, can't smell it, can't see it. Is is something totally mental. Personification help understand inspiration. Inspiration is fascination. I hope to learn more and more on how it work into this world!

Doing therapy
In the last few days, I have done some doing therapy. I have done some resin. I also have done some soaps too. After doing those two acitvities, I felt better. I have checked them out of my list and I can turn to other creative pursuit to do. The nest thing to do is a mosaïc kit that I have. I want to try do mosaïc and see if I will like it.
One thing that motivate me to do the doing therapy is being tired to see some items or kts unused. If I see them often enough, I get the desire to get it done and pass to something else. That something get on my nerves is a very good motivator for me. It is the way I work, it seems. I try to do those thing before I get too tired in seeing them. When it happen, it is a feast. Well, it is what I feel.
One other thing that I would like to be better is evaluate activities a bit better. Each time I do soap, I remember how fast some part are. It can apply to other crafts. On the other hand, writing and embroidery takes more time and I am not always patient when I come to those two. I always under the impression that I will be faster to do those two activity.
I start to think that I should pack some activities during the day and others in the evening. The mosaïc will be done during morning. It is a first time in this area, so I will need all the focus I need. Embroidery will be done in the afternoon. If I get too tired, it can be replaced with jewelry making. In the evening, a bit of writing because I am more productive in the evening. It will be a short time period and I will end before being too much in a nerve rush. Seems to be a good game plan for the next few days.

I have 3 wishes for a genie in a bottle
I need unlimited fund, a lot of time and a working space, it will be my wishes if I find a genie in a bottle. I could do it in real life but I would work very hard for that. I would like to have unlimited fund to pay for every expanses I have. I have to work hard to makes the time to work on all the projects I want to work on. Having a decent space to work on my projects is not always evident. There are some easy fix up like writing can be done on the computer or with pen and paper on a table. Making resin is not on the same level than writing. I have to make more place for the resin. Its the same for soap making.
Having a genie would help me on giving me ideas on how to do everything on my wishlist. Good advide and having creative idea on organisation is often a good thing in limited fund and space. People around me don't always have the right solution to every problem. I think that every crafty persons can have a similar situation to mine. Having a person outside the realm of familairty can be more helpful in some situation. 0utsiders can see what a familiar person do not always see.
It is always fun to have the right solution to a problem. Just to have the right outlook for the situation.
a personal assistant is not always under hand. I guess it is what I should have under some circonstance instead of a genie. If I was a professional creative person, I would be able to justify the employement of a personal assistant to help organize all the tasks I need to do. Would be fun to have the help of a peofessional iin that field. meanwhile, I have to be on my own.

Some Real People should be character
I watched this video on a socialite who passed 24 years in a hotel room with minimum contact with the exterior:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMi5YH3vtog
Her name was Ida Wood In resime, she was a poor gal who found an interesting way to marry a rich guy. The guy dies after a few years. She had invested money along the years and after her husband die, she takes her money. It is at this point that she retreated in the hotel room.
Just with that, I can make the following statement: That woman is sure real but she could be easily turned into a fictional character and have her own book. Her life seems to have a lot of good fictional material. For sure, her life is stranger than fiction.
It is just amazing that some people have a life that should be more in the realm of fiction than the real life. For sure, it is always a pleasure to learn about those people. They are surely inspire writers or other people in showbizness. Nothing is better than real life to inspire fiction!

Unintended frosting but evolved by using
I stumbled on an interesting effect with a batch of soap. It is with those that are «clear» and gemlike especially when using dye in them. It is not a terrible result. I just find it interesting that I haven't seen that earlier. Here what I am talking about, in picture:
This one, above, is one soap unused. It have a frosty effect to it. It is nice on its own. In addition, it goes well with the shape, it is a snowflake shape.
The one above is one soap that had been used once or twice. The frosty effect is gone. It is crystal clear. Just by using, it change it's exterior. Quite a contrast. It is cool to see the frosting gone with use. I will keep a eye if it happen again. I haven't noticed that before and it makes me feel that I got sidetracked somewhere. I would have like to see that sooner.
