People being creative with mythology

In the recent years, mythology had gained popularity.  When I started to get interested in that topic, I didn't knew it was poplular.  I was in high school.  Later on, in college, I learned, from a teacher, that it was gaining popularity.  It was just before some well known shows became poplular (think Kevin Sorbo's Hercules and the Xena serie).

When I started, it wasn't easy to understand all the relationship between the various divinities.  Greek mythology is particularly notorious for the complex relationship of divinities.  Our modern mind set isn't always adequate to fully assimilate all this on a single sitting.

Nowaday, some people have done the task and put some order in all this.  There is one person that had done it quite well: Georges O'Connor.  He is currently doing a series on the Olympian gods and goddesses.  It is quite well done. It is done in a graphic novel format.  He does one god or one goddess per album. The next one that will be available is Ares. Other divinities had been done: Zeus (http://www.amazon.ca/Zeus-King-Gods-George-OConnor/dp/1596434317/ref=pd_cp_b_1),
Héra (http://www.amazon.ca/Hera-The-Goddess-her-Glory/dp/1596434333/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_z),
Athena (http://www.amazon.ca/Athena-Grey-Eyed-Goddess-George-OConnor/dp/1596434325/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_z),
Hades (http://www.amazon.ca/Hades-Lord-Dead-George-OConnor/dp/1596434341/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_z)
Poséidon (http://www.amazon.ca/Poseidon-Earth-Shaker-George-OConnor/dp/1596437383/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_z) and
Aphrodite (http://www.amazon.ca/Aphrodite-Goddess-Love-George-OConnor/dp/1596437391/ref=pd_sim_b_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=1EV1D1015AG2ACFJB0V5).
There is also a box set for the volumes already published (http://www.amazon.ca/Olympians-Boxed-Set-George-OConnor/dp/1626720592/ref=sr_1_18?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1415457346&sr=1-18).

I would have more fun learning mythology that way.  Now, it would be great to have more fun and accessible books or graphic novels on other mythologies.  Personnally, I would like to know more on Japanese mythology.  My knowledge is a bit sketchy on it.
