Dream Journal

I think I had mentioned that dreams are a source of inspiration for me.  It is true that I have many stories that started as dreams.  Well, dreams was a starting point.  It was only a scene.  I don't think I am the only one in that case.

To help me keep track of possible ideas, I have a dream journal.  In the morning, if I have a dream, I note it not long after waking up.  If I wait too long, it will be harder to remember.  Sometimes, I only remember bribes of dreams, even soon after waking up.  It happen sometimes.  It does not bother me when it happens.  The dream may come back in another form.

Another advantage of having a dream journal: I have cycle where dreams seems to be connected.  My most important one was one involving a labyrinth.  It wasn't an conventional maize.  It was more me moving from room to room, somethimes there was corridors or stairs.  A few ones where underground and there was a kind of rollercoaster subway.  It was kind of cool.  The cycle ended when I had a dream with the minotaur in it.  Since, no more labyrinth.  It seems that I had reached the exit of the labyrinth and had passed a test (represented by the Minotaur).  Another cool cycle that follow the labyrinth one was me as a fighter.  In the dreams, I was starting with nothing, no weapon.  I had to fight and gain my own weapons.  Very powering dreams.

With that kind of dreams, no wonder I found strong inspiration in my dreams...
