One done and one failure

I had end of the year resolution.  Well, it is done.  I had done the soaps and I have decided it will be for those who want some.  I will do some more for myself a little bit later.  I think the soap's coloration is a great match:
Working with silicone mold makes the process a breeze.  I am getting good at doing batches of soap.  It goes well, only to keep an eye when it is in the micro-wave.  It is in the micro-wave, while heating that takes the most time.  The rest is quickly done.

On the other end, the kuhuhimo is less successful.  I thought I had mastered it only by looking at a video.  Wrong line of thought!  Working from memory doesn't work at all.  I also thought I had books that had section on showing kuhuhimo.  Wrong again.  So, an humble experience.  I don't have any result to show.  So, I have to do it right and see how it is done before doing it myself.

Overall, end of the year resolutions works.  The only thing that I have to be careful is to know my techniques before doing an end of the year resolutions.  Otherwise, I am happy with two out of three projects.  I am tempted to do it again in the end of the year.  Or do a set of project with a deadline.  It work well with me.
