David Bowie

This morning, I learned that David Bowie died.  Having cancer is not rare.  Not everybody survive cancer.  I thought he had one that he overcome a little while ago.  Maybe I mix up and condense news.  Memory can become blurry with time.  The timing is kind of ironic.  For sure, his last album will sell pretty fast, I am sure of that.

Another legend dies.  His legacy is one of creativity.  He was a magician that combined an unique look and good music.  I think it is a feat.  His career seems to have evolved fluidly and he had reinvent himself many times.  He was not condemned to his Ziggy Stardust period for the rest of his live.  It is something rare.

I will retain the memory of a creative person.  He didn't seems to put limit on himself.  He was known to be on the avant-garde scene.  I think he is one of the few who had created timeless songs.  His songs are among the classics.  I think it is what made his success.  It was not a formula to reap the most money with the less amont of time.  His songs will stay catchy for a long time.

I remember that I discovered him in the '80.  At the time, I found him to be different.  The first video I saw of him was Blue Jean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTYvjrM6djo

Rest in Peace David Bowie.
