Urban Legent or Folklore?

Just listened the most recent Seriously Strange video on 5 European Urban Legends on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbAomfZnxF0
Very informative video.  There was most creatures that I didn't knew about.  The exception was Dracula, the character because, well, the fame he get from books and movies.  Dracula and vampires, in general, are very famous creature of the night.  No need lenghty intorduction.  Strygoi is a less known verision of the vampire but a local touch is always welcomed.

It makes me think.  What is the difference between an urban legend and folklore?  I had always thought that folklore was old unbeliveavle tales.  For the urban legend, I thought it was cautionary modern tales based on real or fiction facts.  Now, does urban legend becoming a kind of folklore for modern times?  Seems so.  I just don't get it when it is applied to old folk creatures.

Maybe it is just me.  I am not the type to categorize people.  Maybe I am more rigid whyen it come to folklore, urban legends and mythology.  I feel each have it's specifics charecteristics.  I guess it is the modern times that have a tendency to blurr definitions and mash everything in the same basked.  So, I am an old style of person in that area.  I just hope people don't see that in other area of my life...
