I found an box with a few book/magazine in it. I wonder if we can put some books in there. It is out of nowhere. It is not a really in a high passing street. It is even in a bucholic place:
The white sticker like part on top explain why that box is there. It is in the memory of a person. I am tempted to put a few books there and see if they will be picked up after that. I wonder why I haven't seen this place before. In the past, I had many books that I wanted to donate. I hate throwing books to the recycling bin.

Fowers
Sometimes, I found some flowers growing in strange places, like this one, near a fence:
I also wonder what kind of flowers they are. They only grow at the end of the school year. It don't last long either. It is not a plant, it look more like an tree or a srub. I wonder who put it there. It seems to be there, hanging around since a while.
I took up a few other flowers and interesting foliage:

Finding a kit in a surprising place
I found a jewelry kit in a dollar store:
I show the front and the back of the packaging. I didn't expected to find this in a dollar store. I don't expect to be high quality either. I am more curious to see if the components work together as promised on the packaging. I don't have high hope with it. I just hope it will be fun to assemble.

Finding another funny tree
I don't know if there is a sickness that affect trees but I found a tree that have a knob on his trunk. This one look like being a nose:
I couldn't excape the idea of a mugshot. So, I snap a photo in front and one from the side of the tree. I wonder how this knob is made. Doesn't seems to be an old cutted branch. If it was a tree sickness, I wonder if there is a vaccine that can be administred to the tree. Looking at it, I can see an alien-related joke that can come out of the tree.

Inverting a pegboard
I found a pegboard for fusible beads that can make easier to do people:
I inverted it to do a plant with it's container:
I am happy with the result. It was easy to do and it look good.

Makeup classes
Applying makeup is a bit a mystery to me. I don't seems to have the avbility to do it on myself. I practice and practice but improvement are quite slow to non existant. It is a bit discouraging. It seems so easy when others do it. Most of my entourage aren't into makeup, so no ones have the practice to help me. I don't want to do it everyday but maybe once in a while, in the evening. It would be my goal to do it if I go out to see a show. It would be more to have a different look in those outing. It would be like putting a different mask, different than the one I wear usually.
I look up for some classes but they seems more geared toward a profession like this one site, even if they have a basic class: http://ecoledecoiffure.ca/course/basics-of-make-up/
But there is hope, I found a site that sound promising: http://studiocarolinetheoret.com/en/studio/services/cours-de-maquillage-personalise/
Now, I just have to explore more the site and see if there is any mention of the prices.
While doing my research, I found this: https://avantilespa.com/makeup/ I didn't knew that some spas could have this service. Maybe I should also look at local makeup store too.
I took a class at my local Yves Rocher, a long time ago, while they still offered this service. It was quickly passed. It was more on the colors and the products suited to me. It was a bit less on how to apply it. Now, I need a bit a refresher but help to the application of the product. A bit of help to see what I do wrong would be a good help. It is something that I just need to perfect. Would be fun to be able to have makeup just once out of a blue moon, where I wouldn't look like an clown or weird looking.

Finding a new kit!
I found this kit at the craft store. It is for making socks. The teacher I had for knitting didn't show me how to knit socks. That teacher was a expert in doing socks, in my opinion. She was making them all the time. I admired that teacher for her ability in making socks. In recent years, I get more and more the urge to try my hand for socks. Socks are tube like. It not that had to do. The hardest part would be for the heel. I am not sure of myself for that part. It look a bit mysterious to me and I know there something special to be done in that area. I just don't have a clue if I could do it. No one that I know could show me. The teacher I had as a child is not around to help me for this. So, I have to figure it all by myself.
When I saw this kit, I wondered if it would be easy to learn to do socks with it. The instructions are usually included, so I wonder if they are easy to follow. So, I bought this kit and I want to try doing socks with this device. No try, no gain, no knowledge and not knowing if it is possible to learn. I am ready to experiment!

Finding something from childhood
When I was a child, I had bed sheet with a charming little old fashion character. It was a little girl with a blue bonnet and a dress that seem to include a patchwork apron. At the time, I didn't knew anything about this little girl but I would find her cool looking, even if it her clothes was a bit dated. I would liked to have the dress but not the head gear. In the past few days, I did a little research and I found that this character was named Hollie Hobbies and it share the same name that it's creator. (https://www.amazon.com/Knook-Expanded-Beginner-Leisure-Arts/dp/1464704066/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=knook&qid=1560174401&s=gateway&sr=8-1 It is a book cover to show how she look. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holly_Hobbie For knowing more on the author and this link for more images and variation: https://www.google.com/search?channel=crow&q=holly+hobbie+dessin&tbm=isch&source=univ&client=firefox-b-d&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiAj82T8MHiAhVRgK0KHQcrBOoQsAR6BAgJEAE&biw=1069&bih=867#imgrc=6LOqZPaLUAvlVM:)
So, there is a mystery that had been solved. This character would do well in the rag doll business. I think I also had a similar looking doll when I was a 5 years old. It was the only doll that I wanted. I can't explain why I was attracted by this type of doll and by it's look. There must had been something that attracted me toward that doll, maybe the colour skeme. Of course, it should have the same status than Raggeddy Ann. Both characters have their charms.
So, it was fun to go down memory lane and found more about this Hollie Hobbie one. It seems there is a recent serie too but withouth the old type clothes. It seems to be real, with people, not a cartoon serie. I would see a cartoon serie with this character as Raggeddy Ann had in the 1990 (I think, could be a little bit earlier too)

I didn't thought of it, It's my style
I stumble on two articles. One talk on knitting with a crochet (https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/how-to-knit-using-a-crochet-hook-979399?utm_campaign=artcraftsl&utm_medium=email&utm_source=cn_nl&utm_content=17070941&utm_term=list_gl_dt_crafts-default) and the other one is one knitting style that isn't English nor Continental (https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/how-to-knit-using-a-crochet-hook-979399?utm_campaign=artcraftsl&utm_medium=email&utm_source=cn_nl&utm_content=17070941&utm_term=list_gl_dt_crafts-default). That style of knitting is the Portuguese knitting.
I like the knitting with a hook best. I like to hijack a tools and makes something else with it. I am thinking of giving it a try. I even found a kit (https://www.amazon.com/Knook-Expanded-Beginner-Leisure-Arts/dp/1464704066/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=knook&qid=1560174401&s=gateway&sr=8-1). I don't want to invest much to try it. I want to see if I like that first before getting more involved in it. If it can bridge crochet and knitting, it could motivate me to go more with crochet. For now, I can do a chain with crochet but I don't know other crochet stitches.
For the Portuguese knitting, I find getting the tension with the yarn over the neck to be imaginative. I just not sure if I can change my pattern of knitting. I am a bit affraid to learn a new style because I will get the impression to start all over again. I don't like feeling frustration because I don't go quick and that I have to learn anew. I gave a try with crochet right handed and it was really a pain. I have to thought of all the movement. I knew that with my left hand, I knew how to do it wihout thinking about it. I think I will let the positive side for the people who would need that technique. It seems to be easy with projects that require many colours. The article mention also that those with some health condition (carpal tunnel, arthritis and joint pain). So, all the better for those people.
I really like making that kind of new discovery. It remind me that I need to think more of outside the box and find that kind of ideas all by myself.

Music
No, I am not talking about Madonna. I am listening to Nightwish Decade. (http://nightwish.com/en) In a sense, I am rediscovering them. It been a while that I have listened to them. Beauty and the Beast, Elvenpath, Tutankhamen, Slaying the Dreamer, The Kinslayer, Wishmaster are songs that had a lot of impact on me. When I listen to music, my mind get images and it wander around. Sometimes, it can trigger ideas.
Thinking of it, music, be it Nightwish or Gary Numan (https://garynuman.com/), it is helping me. I can get some mood, going dark (thinking about Gowan here (www.gowan.org)). I am thinking of using music to my various crafting project. It would be an enhancement and some help. I miss writing while listening to well matched music. During the time I was in the drawing class, I would had like to have some music with me to listen. It would had bring a relaxed state of mind. Music is good when I need to concentrate.
Listening to the latest Nightwish, I realize that I need music in my life and it can help me in my creation. It is something I missed and it is time to bring it up again in my life. It is also time to discover new music. I am ready to discover new artists and new songs that I will like. I am ready for that.

Treasure Chest
I have found a small treasure chest:
It is the look straight out of the store. A good paint and some decorative elements will sure embellish this treasure chest. This one will be a gift, so I will give it as is. The receiver will decorate this treasure chest as she like.
I am tempted to buy others and paint them but I may be kind of excessive sometimes. If I buy again this product, I will limit myself to one or two to the max. I am curious how it is looking with paints and decoration. For sure, it will enhance the product, giving it more colours. There is also the option of staining it. Of course, stain and paint are an easy route for that. Putting stickers is another option but it can also be a bit easy to think about. There is the idea of glueing pictures and articles from the newspaper or magazine. Again, it look a bit cliché.
I am tempted to use old technique to colour it like using blueberries or crushed and diluted lapis lazuli on it. It just isn't feeling totally right because it is kind of expensive and I will waste things better used elsewhere. I feel a bit of a snob with this treasure chest. I do have an urgent urge to create but everything I think makes me feel a bit blazé. Maybe if I find some paint with glitter, it may solve the problem. I would have a projet that I would call my snob projects that will sparkle and dazzle.

Not destroying the green!
Last friday, I bought those fine herbs: two cives and a mint:
I do not have a green thumb. I decided to buy them to encourage a place. I got those at a school. They got that project since at least last year. I bought them and I wonder how long they will flourish in my place. I will wait for them to be a bit more grown before using them. I know that chives can grow pretty easily, there isn't much care for them.
There was various plants like tomatoes and the like too. Some houseplants too. I decided to stick with those. I have to start somewhere and I prefer start small. Maybe next year, if I return there for more plants, I may be more ambitious.
