Pieces to have fun with
Resin and mod melts. Hours of fun while making them! Now, time to find a way to use them. Of course, it would be a good thing to find a way to mix them together. I am thinking to put some resin pieces that are alike together. I want to see if glue can hold them together. For the mold melts (first photo), I don't have much ideas right now except for making cards or decorating a frame. I will have to think a bit about them. There the possibilitiy to put some similar pieces together too. I would like to do something else too with them.

Sometimes, I want to for art photography
The above photo is among the few that makes me want to go for fine art photo. I think the composition is great. I didn't took time to take the photo. It just happened and I clicked. Here is the result. I think it was a great shot. Everything had aligned right for the end result. I wish this kind of happy incident where everything comes up right comes more often.
I am happy to see this picture isn't a total waste. For sure, I won't put it in the bin. I will keep it. If I continue to have photos like that, I may end up with enough material for a fine art album of photos to publish!

A child view of photography
It is interesting to see how a child choose the subject of a photograph. I am also amazed to look at a child taking photographs. It speak volume of their observations of adult taking photo but with a twist. I doubt the above photo will become viral even if it is an interesting point of view of a tree trunk. It is not the one I spoke on the blog. It is a totally unrelated tree's trunk. At least, it is a tree's trunk up close and personal. I wonder why that child took that photo. It is where I would like to have telephathy as a super power (The other power I would like is to understand all language instantly.)

Nice art in unexpected places
I found those two nice little art pieces in a bathroom. They are side by side, like this:
I find them cute and appropriate for this place. I wonder if there is more in this style. I would like to see more of it.

Earrings expertise, I guess...
I seems to be mind set for earrings. I found some components that I could turn to earring. It was the first thing that came to my mind when I found them in the store. I guess it is getting into an expertise:
Of course, I did some extra ones on other components that I wanted to turn into earrings too. I like the idea of flowers earrings.

Butterfly
It is not everyday that a butterfly is up close and personal for the taking. It was well placed and I could not resist taking this photo. Butterflies seems to know how to place themselves for the sight. I wonder if it is a monarch or another species. It is a small butterfly after all. I didn't anything for mesuring it.
I didn't thought about it at the time of taking the photo. I was more into taking the photo before the butterfly fly away. Interestingly, he was already there (don't know how long) and stay there when I left (don't know for how long). This is where I could take a little bit more time and think a little bit more, even if a butterfly can be on the unexpected side.
I guess I am lucky to have taken two similar photos of that butterfly.

The hidden face of Nature featuring ducks PG18
I saw this video last week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e4ucDjkYqk. It is about a case of duck necrophilia with a human witness. For the sensitive hearts, don't go see the video. At the base, the story is a bit sad. How the story is narrated is hilarious. There is some sideline facts that are added to the video. I already knew about the study on the strippers.
Now, there is animal that have human favor and ducks are among them. After this video, I will never see ducks the same way again. They always seems peaceful on their ponds, quacking for bread. Now, knowing that males ducks are quite some sexual jerks, bad tempered ducks will more easily come to my mind. There may be some basis for the bad temper of Donald Duck and Daffy, in cartoon. Maybe the authors of those two characters had observed ducks well.
What it is doing with creativity? First, a basic non important news story can be told in various ways and it include the funny way. It lighten the news a little. Second, I am tempted to use the story as a prompt and take the knowledge gained in the video to write something. It is good material to spin something more elaborate from it. I am sure that my unconscious have started to work on that. It would nice to couple that information with other nature related strange facts to form something new. It is time for my unconsciousness to work on this assignement...

Useless cool facts - tree shaping
I am a fan of useless cool facts. Not always useful but it can be a show stopper at party. I am not a socialite, not even an extrovert but I sometimes use useless facts in family related party. In Twitter, I subscribed to Fact Maniac, just to keep afresh on the line of useless facts. I am ready to go to good lenght in learning facts that are more trivial. In the past (well, before the internet), it was more slow to acquire useless facts. Now, it is a bit more easy, even if in some place, the information repeat itself.
Today, I learned (by Fact Maniac, on Twitter, just to give credit it's due) there is tree shaping (I look at wikipedia for more info, and some photo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_shaping). Seeing the name of tree shaping, I thought of bonsai and penjing. Well, from what I could saw, from the pictures, tree shaping is way cooler. I also found a website on information to shape trees: http://treeshapers.net/ and practitionners.
So, tree shaping is an art that do thing differently and it can be bigger than bonsai. It is something that could be more widespread but it is not popular right now. I think I like that, it is a bit of an underdog. I just would had liked to learn about it a bit sooner. Well, I often say that for many things. It seems that I am always late when it comes to cool stuff...

Diversify pantheon
I like learning about mythology. I consider myself very well versed into Roman and Green Mythology. I am sure there is a few more thing that I can learned in this area but I know a lot. What I find interesting is learning more about other pantheon. I found a video on Raijin, the Japanese God of Thunder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y1AJaJT-0c It is nice to learn about him. I never knew about a Japanese God of Thunder.
I must admit my lack of knowledge of the Japanese Pantheon. I mainly know about Amaterasu and Susanoo. I know that Amaterasu is the Goddess of the Sun and Susanoo is related to storm. I don't understand everything about the story they have together. I only know that it lead to a battle or dispute between the two. I also know about Izanami and Izagani. It is a couple that created the Japanese Island. There is a relation between them and the Underworld. For what I know, I think it look like the descent into the Underworld done by Inanna, in the Sumerian mythos or Orpheus, in the Greek mythology. In the case of the Japaneses, it is Izagani that does the travel to the underworld. I find that story, like the one of Orpheus, to be a bit romantic or chivalrious.
I find really easy to find knowledge about the Roman and Greek myths but it is not that easy when it comes to other pantheon. For me, I would like the informations about various pantheon should be all on the same level. Each pantheon should be treated in the same level of access. There are people that still believe in various pantheon. So, it should be easy to learn more about those too. In addition, people are keeping those pantheon alive, it show the great diversity of belief.

Perspective
With photos, I find it hard to get what I want to get on the photo. Perspective seems to get in my way. Recently, I saw something. It was a nice cloud with an interesting from. I snap the picture and I get frustrated. The whole photo was not what I was seeing: everything on the photo was smaller than what I saw. I guess I miss something on the setting.
Here what I got:
It was not what I have expected. I think I should have made a close up. It is the cloud just above the building, in the background, in the middle of the photo. Another thing: maybe it is time to invest in some lenses for that kind of getting closer to a specific feature.
Time to get more acustumized to my cameras. Still have the knowledge and experience to get under my belt.

Small restricted places
I don't know if it is me but I feel an attraction to some restricted or room behind close doors. It's the kind of place we don't have always access. In the occasion I was able to go into some of those places a few times, I start to feel at ease and it become more familiar. Then, I feel that all the mystery and attraction is gone.
Here are a few places that I am curious right now:
I am a bit less tempted by this one, I feel it is a bit too much like an ads:

Leaves for effects
I realized that trees leaves have various colours. It can come in various shade of green like Granny Smith Apples or reddish green. It is like the hair dyes of the vegetation world. I found a few contrasting examples:
I think I didn't took the right angle for the first photo but it can be seen a little bit the differences of colours between the trees's leaves.
I also took a photo of the awful trees's trunk. The leaves have grown fully. It almost makes me think of skirts:
It was good to take them from afar, I think. From where I took the photo, we can see that the trunks are well covered. It is a wall of leaves!
